The boy's dormitory is named after Joseph Kirwan, he was an Irish clergyman and educationalist that served as the first president of Queen's College Galway.

| Walsh Memorial Park
The park was created a year after Karsun was opened. It is dedicated to the memory of Brian Walsh one of the founders of Karsun. He died in January of two-thousand and six, only nine months after Karsun began enrolling students. Today, many students love to congergate in the park to have fun and gaze at the beautiful fountain that is in the center of the park.
